It needed some extensive work and I was surprised by some, but felt confident that those checking out the engine and needed repairs were doing what was best. They called me ahead of time to let me know what needed to be done and asked what did I want them to do. I followed their recommendations and so far, everything is working as it should. ”One month prior my husband purchased a 2013 Touareg TDI from Kings Volkswagen. I drove it & was completely sold on the vehicle's design, ride & quality. When I mentioned to him my interest in shopping for a similar vehicle he was very supportive, but highly encouraged me to locate a more customer-focused dealer than provided by Scott Stockwell's staff. ”My car (2013 Jetta) had an excessive number of small dents resulting from a hailstorm. I'd only had the car for 2 months. Dents were on almost every panel but especially on the hood, top, and trunk lid. My insurance company estimate was over $7000, astonishingly. ”I must admit, I was a bit disappointed with the handling of the service to my car. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my VW and do not foresee leasing of anything else (not in the near future anyway). But, I waited 3 hours for my 20,000 checkup. Now, I'm not sure exactly how long something like this should take, maybe it is supposed to take 3 hours, but I was betting on 1 1/2 hours, possibly 2. I scheduled my appointment for 10:30 and waited until 1:30. Shouldn't there be a benefit to scheduling an appointment? In my opinion, the least that the service person could have done was to give me an update at some point on where I was in regards to this inspection, what still needed to be done and approximately how long the rest of the wait would be. On days like these I ususally try to schedule other appointments so as to kill as many birds with one stone as I possibly can. I use my day wisely. VW makes that a risky thing to do. I'm aware that I have the option to drop off my car, but Fairfield is a 30 -40 minute drive and doing that is not convenient in my situation. Read More »
